Origin of Name:
Named for John N. Greub (1859-1943). 
The post office was always maintained at his ranch on the Middle Fork of Crazy Woman 
and Mrs. Greub was postmistress until the office was discontinued.

Greub Post Office was established on February 25, 1895 
with Minnie Greub (1870-1951) as postmaster. 
It was discontinued on July 31, 1913 after which 
the mail was handled by the Buffalo Post Office.
